Mystery Train * Brief History : This fifth release from Elvis Presley was recorded at the Memphis Recording Service, Memphis on February 5th, 1955. Elvis and Scotty Moore played guitar, while Bill Black played base. It is hard to believe that this new unique sound was created with only these 3 instruments. The flip side however, I Forgot To Remember To Forget, featured Johnny Bonnero on drums and this was recorded on July 11th, 1955. Contrary to what folks thought, DJ Fontana the drummer who would help out with Elvis during some of his live shows and would become part of the group later, never played drums on any of the 3 Sun records that featured drums. Released in 1955 by Sun Records on 45 RPM as Mystery
