Martin Erdman's Du Monde label and his World of Sound studio at Ramsgate played an important part on the Sydney music scene in the transitional years 1969-1973. 
The label was distributed by RCA 1969-1970, then Festival from 1970-1973, except for a period in 1970 when the label was self-distributed due to the 1970 Radio Ban.
