CBS Australia set up in 1963 as a fully owned Australian subsidiary of the giant US CBS network. The new CBS label replaced the Coronet label.
The label was swallowed up by the giant SONY MUSIC Corporation and now releases as Columbia having also taking over the EMI Columbia label as well.
