Albert
Production company was founded in 1963 and was one of the first
independent companies.
It was a subsidiary of the family owned Sydney Publishing company,
J. Albert & Son, the oldest independent publishing house
in Australia since the 1890’s.
Before their own label appeared in 1971, the Logo appeared on
the Parlophone records that they had a deal with. The label
was run by Ted Albert, grandson of the founder Jacques Albert.
The in-house songwriters were Harry Vanda & George Young
(Ex Easybeats) with their biggest acts being, John Paul Young,
Ted Mulry and AC/DC. |
