Eric records started in 1969 by William Buster out of Philadelphia as a re-issue label, leasing leagaly what they could. Over time the label has grown into a quality CD re-issue label. By the early 1980's the label moved to Westville, New Jersey and by the mid-90's to San Leadro, California. Eric singles (especially the earlier numbers) over time were constantly upgraded with better masters, or if available a true stereo master. By the 1980's smaller record companies were using Eric as a re-issue conduit, closing down their own oldies divisions.
