| Founded
in 1969, the California based Amaret label took its name from
its parent company, the American Association of Recorded Talent.
Though the bulk of the imprint's releases were from Minnesota's
hard-rock quintet Crow, the handful of other artists signed to
the label had a distinct popular market focus. Following their
three year distribution deal with Capitol, the label briefly moved
to MGM before going bankrupt in 1973. |
